An Inevitable Dystopia; A Fictional Utopia


An interactive website using collage and illustration, each panel for a section of my dissertation.

As you move through the website, the themes shift from dystopian to utopian, shown through tonal value.

Each collage segment is accompanied by texual analysis that expands and explains each theme and contextualises it with relevant films.

The segment above explains the themes of religion and apocalypse that come with dystopias.

The following collages explain dystopian farming, over and underpopulation dystopian ‘solutions’, overconsumption and lastly ecotopias: a subgenre of utopia.
